University communications office wins awards for excellence in SUNY competition

SUNY New Paltz’s Office of Communication & Marketing has won two SUNY Council for University Advancement (SUNY CUAD) Awards for Excellence, which recognize the best of the best in creative communications, events, photography, writing, advertising and design from across the state university system. 

The University’s social media team won the 2025 Best of Category Award for Excellence in Creativity-Social Media for their creative, engaging Reels, namely a man-on-the-street video where students are quizzed on the majors of their peers based on their outfits. 

The editorial team behind New Paltz – The Alumni Magazine was also recognized with a Judges’ Citation in the Excellence in Creativity-Feature Writing category for a digital feature on art museum culture.
