EOP to celebrate academic accomplishments of students at its 21st annual XAE induction

The Educational Opportunity Program at SUNY New Paltz will host the Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) honor society’s Induction Ceremony on April 30 at 3 p.m. in Lecture Center 100.

This ceremony, taking place on the New Paltz campus for the 21st year, recognizes the academic achievements of outstanding EOP undergraduates as the academic year comes to a close. This year’s ceremony will also recognize 20 students that have earned an upgrade distinction through continued academic excellence since they were first inducted into XAE. President Darrell P. Wheeler will deliver the keynote address.

Chi Alpha Epsilon was formed in 1989 as a national honor society recognizing the academic achievements of students admitted to colleges and universities through opportunity programs.

SUNY New Paltz chartered the Beta Omicron Chapter of the XAE and inducted its first members in 2003. Our campus chapter bears the distinction of having inducted the largest number of students among all chartering institutions.
