EOP to celebrate academic accomplishments of students at its 21st annual XAE induction
The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at SUNY New Paltz will host the Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) Honor Society Induction Ceremony on April 30 at 3 p.m. in Lecture Center 100. Click here for a livestream of the ceremony.
Now in its 21st year at New Paltz, this ceremony honors the academic achievements of outstanding EOP undergraduates as the academic year concludes. This year’s celebration will also recognize 20 students who have earned an upgrade distinction through continued academic excellence since their initial induction into XAE. President Darrell P. Wheeler will deliver the keynote address.
Chi Alpha Epsilon was established in 1989 as a national honor society to recognize the academic accomplishments of students admitted to colleges and universities through opportunity programs.
SUNY New Paltz chartered the Beta Omicron Chapter of XAE and inducted its first members in 2003. The New Paltz chapter holds the distinction of inducting the largest number of students among all chartering institutions.
