Album release party featuring New Paltz staff-fronted band Lighthouse Pilot Dec. 6

All members of the campus community are welcome to celebrate the new record from School of Education Certification Officer Chris Whitaker’s band Lighthouse Pilot on Dec 6. at 4:00 p.m. in the College Terrace. 

The release party will present “Out of Oblivion,” an indie pop and acoustic rock song cycle that explores a path people use to overcome whatever haunts them and break free from their own chains.  

In keeping with his work as a college counselor and co-chair of the campus Faculty/Staff Contemplative Group, the songs are about life’s challenges, personal transformation, recovery and the existential journey. 

Song videos, appetizers and refreshments will also be on the menu. Event attendees should RSVP to whitakec@newpaltz.edu.
