Chemistry is fun! Family Mole Night in campus science labs returns Oct. 24
Students and faculty in SUNY New Paltz’s Department of Chemistry will welcome families to the annual Family Mole Night to experience exciting, live scientific experiments on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 6-7:30 p.m. on the Coykendall Science Building’s third floor.
Children ages 6-12 and their families are invited for hands-on science activities & demonstrations covering photography and imaging, including concepts in magnetic imaging and anthotype printing or sun prints.
Reservations are required as space is limited. Please email Administrative Assistant Laura Silvernail at silvernl@newpaltz.edu to reserve a spot.
Named for a unit of measurement used by chemists to express the ratio of mass to atomic mass, Family Mole Night is held in conjunction with the American Chemical Society’s efforts to promote the impact of chemistry in everyday life. This year’s theme is “Picture Perfect Chemistry.”
