Mental Health Fair highlights support and resources for students, Sept. 27
Each semester, New Paltz brings mental health supports and resources, along with fun self-care activities, to help students build resilience and balance in all aspects of their lives and experiences.
On Wednesday, Sept. 27, New Paltz’s Mental Health Fair returns from 12-2 p.m. in the Student Union Second Floor Multipurpose Room, where students can connect with campus and community resources, take advantage of Depression and Resiliency screenings from our expert Psychological Counseling Center staff, and learn more about careers in the field.
Hands-only CPR will be offered through the Office of Environmental Health & Safety and Narcan training will be available during the fair.
The fair will also feature free raffles, giveaways, activities and refreshments, along with the musical stylings of a DJ from WFNP, New Paltz’s on-campus radio station.
Above all else, the mission of the Fair is to make sure our entire campus community understands that help is available for those who may be struggling or want to learn ways to become more resilient.
Following the Mental Health Fair, there will be a Drum Circle facilitated by the Music Therapy graduate program outside College Hall. No experience is necessary to participate, and instruments will be provided.
