Parking permits for 2023-24 are now available
SUNY New Paltz students, faculty and staff can now purchase their parking permits for the 2023-24 academic year.
New parking permits must be displayed clearly in vehicles parked on campus starting Aug. 14.
To buy your permit, log into my.newpaltz.edu and find the link for “My Parking Account.” You can also log in using this direct link.
Then, follow the prompts to order your permit, submit vehicle information, and process payment. Parking permits cost $25 for faculty and staff, $80 for students (or $40 per semester) and $100 for Management Confidential employees.
After online purchase, pick up your permit at the Parking Office in Wooster Hall Room 114.
You may also print a temporary permit through the online portal. The temporary permit can be used until Sept. 10, allowing more time to pick up the permanent permit.
To print your temporary permit, you must click on the ‘Log Out’ link and then sign back in. Once you sign back in, click “Employee or Student Permits,” then find the permit that applies to you and hit “Next”. You will now be able to print the temporary parking pass. Please make sure that you place the pass on your dashboard.
Active military and veteran students should contact the Office of Veteran & Military Services at 845-257-3120 for more information on obtaining their passes at no charge.
Students who live on campus and have a personal vehicle must purchase a full-year resident permit. Those who live on campus during the fall, but do not return to their campus residence for spring 2024, can get a refund for half the cost of a full-year permit by returning their parking pass to the Parking Office by Jan. 31, 2024.
All parking permits must be purchased online, with limited exceptions for certain campus populations including contractors, retired faculty, teaching assistants, graduate assistants, and residence hall complex directors. Accepted forms of online payment include Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express cards, or you may use your checking account information to pay via ACH Check.
If you are unable to purchase online and must purchase your permit in person, please be sure to bring your SUNY New Paltz ID card and your car registration with you to the Parking Office, Room 114, Wooster Hall.
Retired (emeritus) faculty and staff, alumni and Friends of SUNY can use the Parking Application 2023-24 and mail, e-mail, fax or apply in person, to the Parking Office.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Parking Office at (845) 257-3347. More information can be found on the Parking Office website.
