COVID-19 Dashboard Report: Jan. 11, 2022
There are currently six active cases of COVID-19 in our campus community. One is an employee and five are students. All are isolating off campus.
We are not aware of any COVID-19-related hospitalizations among students, faculty or staff during the 2021-22 academic year.
There were 262 tests conducted on campus from Jan. 2 – 8, with a positivity rate of 9.5%. Many of those who tested positive are students and employees who are not regularly on campus during winter session, and who therefore are not counted in our COVID-19 Dashboard active case tallies.
Ulster County’s current seven-day testing positivity rate is 26.3%, as reported by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC).
The College is offering on-campus COVID-19 testing at Awosting Hall on a reduced schedule during winter session. Make an appointment here. Five-day-per-week on-campus testing will resume on Jan. 24.
Testing is also now available at a New York State-run site at College Terrace. Learn more and make an appointment here. Students and employees may choose to get a test at that state-run site, but please be advised that you will need to manually upload your test results to my.newpaltz.edu.
Our spring 2022 COVID-19 policies have been updated and are available here.
