Parking permits for 2021-22 are now available
SUNY New Paltz students, faculty and staff can now purchase their parking permits for the 2021-22 academic year by logging onto the College’s Parking website to process payment.
New parking permits must be displayed clearly in vehicles parked on campus starting Aug. 15, 2021
All parking permits must be purchased online, with limited exceptions for certain campus populations including contractors, retired faculty, teaching assistants, graduate assistants and residence hall complex directors.
Parking permits cost $25 for faculty and staff, $80 for students (or $40 per semester) and $100 for Management Confidential employees.
Students who live on campus and have a personal vehicle must purchase a full-year resident permit. Those who do not return to live on campus in spring 2022 can get a refund for half the cost of a full-year permit by returning their parking pass to the Parking Office by Jan. 31, 2022.
To purchase a permit online, please follow these steps:
Go to the College’s Parking website
Click “Employee or Student Permits”
Log in with your New Paltz username and password
Select your permit type
Enter your vehicle information
Make payment (credit card and ACH Check accepted)
Pick up your permit at Wooster Hall after making payment
Once your payment is processed, you can pick up your permanent parking permit in person at the Student Services Help Desk on the first floor of Wooster Hall, or in the Parking Office in Wooster Hall Room 114.
You can also print a temporary permit
The Parking Office also allows students, faculty and staff to print temporary parking permits to reduce long lines and wait times for those picking up permits at the start of the semester.
To print your temporary parking permit, you must first process payment and then follow these steps:
Make sure you are logged into your account on the Parking website
Find the “Current Permits” box and click the permit for the current academic year
Click “Print this Permit”
Please be sure to display your temporary permit clearly on your dashboard when you park on campus.
Active military and veteran students are eligible for free parking permits
Please contact the Office of Military & Veteran Services at 845-257-3124 for more information on obtaining your free pass.
If you can’t get your permit online, you can purchase one in person
Those who are unable to purchase parking permits online can bring their campus ID cards and vehicle registrations to the Parking Office, Wooster Hall Room 114, to make payment.
Sodexo employees and retired (emeritus) faculty should contact Campus Auxiliary Services at 845-257-3034 for more information on obtaining their passes.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Parking Office at (845) 257-3347.
