Middle States Monday, Vol. 2: The Self-Study and the Evaluation Team’s virtual visit
Middle States Monday is a new series of announcements and information that will run in the Daily Digest to help students, faculty and staff prepare for our Middle States Reaccreditation Virtual Visit, scheduled for March 24 – 26, 2021.
As part of SUNY New Paltz’s Middle States reaccreditation review, the Middle States Evaluation Team will meet with faculty, staff, and students from March 24-26, 2021, during the team’s virtual visit to our campus. Team members will have the opportunity to learn more about our campus and to corroborate information in our self-study from these meetings.

The self-study focuses to a large extent on our students: their programs, in-class and out-of-class experiences, and the sufficiency of learning opportunities and resources to support their progress.
In accordance, the Middle States Evaluation will be looking for evidence to confirm that SUNY New Paltz has an appropriate mission, lives that mission with ethics and integrity, delivers an effective student learning experience, assesses our own educational effectiveness, uses planning and resources to ensure institutional improvement, and is characterized by effective governance, leadership, and administration. Attention will be given to our systematic evaluation of educational and related programs and services and our use of data to appraise attainment. Consideration will also be given to our compliance with Federal and state laws and regulations.
Soon after the schedule for the Evaluation Team’s virtual visit is finalized, you will receive an email with details about the time(s) we would like you to meet (virtually) with team members. For now, please reserve March 24-26, 2021, in your schedules.
We ask for your help to inform colleagues and students about or college’s Middle States reaccreditation and the associated March 24-26 Evaluation Virtual visit. Thank you in advance for your participation and your help.
