Flex Spending Account open enrollment period begins Nov. 2
The open enrollment period for the 2021 Flex Spending Account (FSA) will run from Nov. 2 – Nov. 30, 2020, for eligible state employees including faculty and staff at SUNY New Paltz.
The FSA offers a way to pay for health care, dependent care, and adoption expenses with pre-tax dollars.

The College will host an info session on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 3 – 3:30 p.m., for employees who have questions or would like to learn more about the FSA benefit. Please use the link above to sign up.
The FSA application process is quick, easy and paperless. Apply online with the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations, or by phone at (800) 358-7202.
In order to apply, you will need the following:
- Your NYS EMPLID number, which is located on your pay stub
- Your negotiating unit information
- Your Department ID (28210 for all employees except TAs and GAs; 28219 for TAs and GAs)
Anyone who is enrolled for the current plan year is required to re-enroll to continue your benefits in 2021. Again, the deadline for 2021 enrollment is Nov. 30, 2020, at 10 p.m., and is strictly enforced.
