Students: Create a custom Midterm Success Plan today with a Student Success Peer Advisor
We’re just about at the halfway point of the fall 2020 semester, which makes this a great time for New Paltz students to meet with Peer Advisors in the Center for Student Success.
The Peer Advising service is open to all students but is particularly valuable to first-semester freshmen and transfer students in helping them make a successful transition to academic life at the College.
Peer Advisors are available to meet for virtually for drop-in visits or for scheduled appointments via Blackboard collaborate. They’re trained to provide personalized, peer-based academic guidance and assistance, including developing an individualized Midterm Success Plan to help you achieve your academic goals.
The peer advising method is designed to help each student build upon their academic skills and identify effective study strategies to meet the demands of college-level academic work.
Peer advisors are also well-equipped to refer students to the appropriate campus resources and to help them understand general academic practices and policies.
