The Center for Student Engagement is excited to announce that the Student Union and Atrium will reopen to members of the campus community on Sunday, Aug. 16.

Following is additional important information for the fall semester:
Adjusted Hours: We have adjusted our hours to accommodate food service needs. We anticipate significantly lower revenues generated this semester due to reduced events and conferences. s the staffing of the facility relies on that income, we have reduced the total hours to navigate existed financial resources. While in the past, we have been flexible with adjusting facility hours for reserved events and programs, we will not be able to modify facility hours this coming semester. Please plan your programs accordingly.
Construction Update: The roof and fourth floor renovation project is well underway. The asbestos abatement phase of the project has concluded, and offices temporarily relocated for the summer have returned. The entire fourth floor and the third floor restrooms will be closed for the remaining phases of the construction project through summer 2021.
Space Availability and Capacities: To meet social distancing requirements, the typical room capacities of all locations in the Student Union and Atrium are significantly reduced. We have also adjusted the layouts of all common areas to comply with good public health practices. Please help us by not modifying any furniture layouts. Please also note that Student Union 62/63 is being heavily used for academic purposes this fall. We may permit reservation of Student Union 62/63 on evenings and weekends, but those programs must use the classroom layout.
Hosting an Event: If you are looking to host an event, please consult the Events and Gatherings procedures on the New Paltz Forward Plan.
