Faculty and staff: Still time before classes begin to complete required trainings
The Office of Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion encourages faculty and staff to use these last few weeks before the fall semester to complete two trainings that may be mandatory for their positions.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Training
All full-time employees should complete this training, which is delivered online through the EverFi platform.
Employees who have not yet completed the online modules or the in-person trainings offered in early 2020 should be receiving weekly email reminders that include links to access the training modules via EverFi.
If you have not completed this training and are not receiving these invite reminders, or if you have other questions about the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Training training, please send an email to employeetraining@newpaltz.edu for assistance.
Users will need to create an account with EverFi and complete two online training modules. The required modules take approximately three hours to complete; employees are free to review the content at their own pace.
Note: Part-time faculty are not required to complete this training, but can request access to the modules by emailing employeetraining@newpaltz.edu.
Clery Act Training for UUP-represented employees
All UUP-represented employees who function in a student-serving capacity, including all academic faculty, are required to complete annual training on the Clery Act, which requires colleges and universities to keep and disclose information about crime that takes place on and near campus.
The online module for Clery Act training can be accessed via this link.
Employees who have any questions related to these required trainings are encouraged to email employeetraining@newpaltz.edu for more information.
