Telecommuting Pilot Program extended through Oct. 2
On Wednesday, June 17, the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations announced the extension of the pilot telecommuting program first put in place in March.
The pilot program, now extended through Oct. 2, 2020, covers employees represented by CSEA, UUP, DC 37 and PEF as well as M/C employees. With this extension, the College will continue to observe the telecommuting plans and low-density staffing practices that are currently in place.
We understand that as we enter a different part of the summer and a new academic year, there may be a need to adjust current telecommuting plans. Any changes to the current telecommuting plans should involve discussion between supervisors and employees and should be designed with the same low density and social distancing parameters we are currently observing. We encourage open and frequent communications so that there is clarity about needs and expectations.
Please submit any changes to telecommuting plans to Jodi Papa at papaj@newpaltz.edu. The Office of Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion is here to help with any questions or concerns.
