UUP Employees can now enroll in Compensatory Pay Option for Holidays
From the Office of Human Resources: Benefits
UUP-represented professional staff who are eligible for compensatory time off if they are required to work during regular working hours on any day observed by the State as a holiday currently have the option to waive such compensatory time if they work on Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s Day, and instead receive pay for any time worked.
This applies to UUP employees eligible to earn holidays:
- 12-month calendar year employees – Faculty or Professional Staff
- 10-month college year employees with paid recess – Professional Staff
Between April 1 and May 15, 2020, employees can elect to receive additional compensation of equivalent value for work on those holidays.
Use this link to view and fill out the Compensatory Time for Holiday Work Waiver form.
Please review the survey statements carefully for full details, including information about changes to such elections.
Please note that your election will remain in place until at least April 1, 2021, and will continue this way unless you change it during an open enrollment period in 2021 or later.
If you choose not to complete the survey, you will continue to be eligible for compensatory time for any time worked on these holidays.
