Annual Holiday Luncheon celebrates the many contributions of Classified Staff
Classified staff from across the SUNY New Paltz campus took a well-deserved break and enjoyed good food and good company at the 34nd annual Staff Appreciation & Recognition Holiday Luncheon on Friday, Dec. 13.
The festive tradition stands as a small token of thanks to the hundreds of CSEA-represented staff members who make so many contributions to the College’s operations and character.
The lunch event is sponsored by Campus Auxiliary Services, and this year included seasonal greetings and words of gratitude from President Donald P. Christian and Anne Balant, associate professor of communication disorders and presiding officer of the faculty.
“This is what ‘Classified Staff’ means to me: A large part of our campus community, made up of aware, skilled and innovative staff, who are friendly, essential for our operations and dedicated,” Balant said. “On behalf of the academic and professional faculty, I extend our heartfelt thanks for all that you do, and our best wishes for a wonderful holiday season.”
Administrators and supervisors also take the opportunity at the Holiday Luncheon to give special thanks to employees who have reached significant career milestones at New Paltz. This year’s honorees:
