School of Business will offer free MBA advising sessions
The SUNY New Paltz School of Business will offer free information sessions to provide students and community members with an overview of the master of business administration degree (MBA) program.
The info sessions will be held on Oct. 26, Nov. 8, and Dec. 5 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in van den Berg Hall room 310.
They feature information on the new, part-time online MBA option, designed to provide scheduling flexibility and better accommodate students of all kinds, and about the updated curriculum that modernizes the program while maintaining the high standards of quality that New Paltz’s AACSB-accredited School of Business is known for.
“These sessions include a little of everything: a full curriculum breakdown of the MBA, info on the admission requirements, help with the application process and a rundown of scholarship opportunities,” said Aaron Hines, assistant dean for MBA programs.
The MBA program puts a premium on offering students in different circumstances the flexibility to complete the program as best suits them. The program requirements have been adjusted down to 45 credits; new options are in place for online and weekend classes; and a one-year accelerated program is available for full-time students able to dedicate their energies to that kind of class load.
The three information sessions will also address questions about the availability of academic advising and the program’s emphasis on internship placements for students.
All community members are welcome to come learn about these subjects and meet business faculty teaching MBA courses.
The info sessions will be held on Oct. 26, Nov. 8, and Dec. 5 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in van den Berg Hall room 310. Please follow this link for a campus map.
