#GivingTuesday movement encourages philanthropy at SUNY New Paltz
SUNY New Paltz has joined the more than 10,000 organizations worldwide in Giving Tuesday, or #GivingTuesday, a movement aimed at encouraging people to donate to the organization of their choice on Dec. 1, 2015. Give today by visiting https://www3.newpaltz.edu/gift/givingtuesday#.
On this day families, businesses, students and alumni around the world come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. One way to give back is in a charitable gift to the College that will be invested in future alumni.
“The College was a huge part of my life and set me on the path to finding a successful career,” said Bruce Orenstein ’68 (Secondary Education) first vice president – investments, UBS Financial Services Inc. in Paramus, N.J. “I’m in a great place now; it feels like the right time to give back.”
The College encourages you to join the movement on Dec. 1 by supporting our students through the SUNY New Paltz Foundation. Gifts to the Foundation benefit our students by providing scholarships, research funding, and support for many other college-wide programs.
