Congratulations to the following faculty and staff members for their notable awards, honors, and appointments:
Kerry Dean Carso, associate professor (Art History), has been named a 2014 “Scholar-In-Residence” at Grey Towers National Historic Site, the ancestral home of conservationist Gifford Pinchot, in Milford, Pa.
Tom Meyer, associate professor (Secondary Education), has received a $20,000 grant from National Writing Project Corporation for his project titled, “Hudson Valley Writing Project – Teacher Leadership Development 2014-2016.”
David Richardson, assistant professor (Biology), has received a $13,993 grant from The Cary Institute for his project titled, “Collaborative Research: Whole Ecosystem Experiments on Early Warnings for Regime Shifts to Cyanobacteria in Lakes.”
Eve Tuck, assistant professor (Educational Studies), has received a 2014 Scholars of Color Early Career Contribution Award from The American Educational Research Association (AERA).
Lucy Walker has been named assistant vice president for institutional research, effective June 1.
Irene Watts-Politza, lecturer (Elementary Education), received the Mid-Hudson School Study Council 2014 Education Leadership Award.
