Bestselling author and keynote speaker on marketing to speak at SUNY New Paltz
The State University of New York at New Paltz announces a lecture by Lindsey Pollack, a bestselling author, keynote speaker and one of the world’s leading experts on managing and marketing to the Millennial generation. Her presentation, “Leveraging LinkedIn & Social Media in Your Internship & Job Search,” will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. in Coykendall Science Building Auditorium on the New Paltz campus. This event is free and open to the public.
Pollack is the author of “Getting from College to Career: Your Essential Guide to Succeeding in the Real World.” Her next book, to be published by HarperCollins in fall 2014, will focus on Millennial generation leadership.
A frequent keynote speaker and consultant, Pollack’s clients have included more than 150 corporations, conferences and universities, including Barclays, Citi, GE, IBM, Liz Claiborne, Merrill Lynch, PwC, Ralph Lauren, Time Inc., Yale, Harvard, Princeton, MIT and many others. Additionally, her advice and opinions have appeared in such media outlets as The TODAY Show, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, FOX Business, Glamour, CNN and NPR. Pollack serves as an official ambassador for LinkedIn and spokesperson for The Hartford’s My Tomorrow campaign. She is board chair of She’s the First, a non-profit organization that sponsors girls’ education in developing world countries so that they can be first in their families to graduate from high school.
Pollack is a graduate of Yale University and lives in New York City.
