Wilson SUNYAC Champion; Team Places Second
MANLIUS, NY- The SUNY New Paltz women’s tennis team finished second overall at SUNYAC’s this past weekend with 24 points. Geneseo won SUNYAC’s with 46 points.

In the second singles flight, freshman Montana Wilson (Hopewell Junction/John Jay) was the SUNYAC Champion with a three set victory over #1 seed Stephanie DiCapin (Cortland), 1-6, 6-1, 6-4.
In the third singles flight, junior Lindsey Garyn (Melville/Half Hollow East Hills) was runner-up after falling to Julia Passik (Geneseo), 6-3, 2-6, 0-6.
Freshman Alexandria Esposito (Bellmore/John F. Kennedy) in the sixth singles was runner-up after falling to #1 seed Sarah Shields (Geneseo), 6-1, 6-0.
The second doubles team of Wilson and Kayla DiPaulo (Liverpool/Liverpool) fell in a close match in the finals against the team of Melissa Baker/Lauren Johnson (Genseo), 6-3, 6-4.
