Hawks and Drew Tie 0-0
MADISON, NJ- The SUNY New Paltz women’s soccer team earned a hard fought tie with the Rangers of Drew University Thursday night 0-0 at Ranger Stadium in terrible weather conditions. Head coach Colleen Bruley said “We couldn’t capitalize on the chances we created up the field.”
Freshman keeper Stephanie Vega moves from fifth to second in the conference with a 0.71 goals against average after posting her sixth shutout of the year against the Rangers.
Rebecca Devlin, Beth Bowling and Stephanie Martinez all recorded one shot for the Hawks in the game.
The Hawks improve to 4-7-4 overall and return to the field October 23 against Oswego at 3 p.m. on Alumni Field.
