Women’s Tennis Sweeps Fredonia

SYRACUSE, NY- The SUNY New Paltz women’s tennis team finished up SUNYAC weekend play in Syracuse with a sweep over Fredonia, 9-0.

It is the third time that the Hawks have swept a conference opponent 9-0.

4^th singles: Kayla DiPaulo (NP) def. Megan Zarzycki (F) 6-0, 6-0

5^th singles: Ingrid Maryansky (NP) def. Katrina Johnston (F) 6-0, 6-1

6^th singles: Alexandria Esposito (NP) def. Chelsea Mang (F) 6-2, 6-0

1^st doubles: Schara/Garyn (NP) def. Norris/Long (F) 8-3

2^nd doubles: Wilson/DiPaulo (NP) def. Prindle/Zarzycki (F) 8-1

3^rd doubles: Lyndsey Lovinger/Kerri Serkes (NP) def. Johnston/Mang (F) 8-3

The Hawks improve to 4-1 overall and 4-1 in the SUNYAC.  New Paltz returns to the courts Wednesday against Western Connecticut for their home opener at 6 p.m.
