Hawks Cruise by Western Connecticut in Tennis
NEW PALTZ, NY- The SUNY New Paltz women’s tennis team cruised by visiting the Colonials of Western Connecticut, 8-1 Wednesday night.
The Hawks swept the doubles matches as the team of Stephanie Schara and Lindsey Garyn improve to 8-1 on the season with an 8-4 victory over Lauren Post and Henna Kosiba. Montana Wilson and Kayla DiPaulo improve to 8-1 on the season as a team with a 9-7 victory over Ali Mahony and Alyssa Hoynack. The team of Lyndsey Lovinger and Kerri Serkes improve to 5-4 with an easy 8-0 victory over Maxx Zimmer and Kelly Macey.

In the singles, Ingrid Maryansky improved to 9-0 on the season and Alexandria Esposito, Garyn and Wilson all improved to 8-1 with their victories.

Western Connecticut falls to 1-1 on the season.
The Hawks improve to 5-1 over and 4-1 in the SUNYAC. New Paltz returns to the court Friday against Cortland at 3:30 p.m. on the campus of SUNY Cortland.
