Lim Named Recipient of 2008 Cahill Award

The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced the women’s tennis recipient of the Peter J. Cahill Award as the SUNYAC Tournament Most Valuable Player.
Senior Dana Lim (New City, NY/Clarkstown South) was named the Cahill Award winner after winning the first singles title for the third consecutive year and reaching the semifinals in first doubles at the 2008 SUNYAC Tennis championships at the Eastside Racquet Club in Manlius, NY on October 10-12.
Lim finishes her career as a five-time SUNYAC champion as she was part of the winning doubles team in 2007, won first singles in 2007 and 2006 and claimed the second singles title in 2005.
The award was named to honor the commitment and success of Cahill, the former women’s tennis coach at Cortland, who passed away in 2006.
