Motzkin, DiTrapani and Cilmi Selected All-SUNYAC
NEW PALTZ, NY — Seniors Lauren Motzkin and Amalia DiTrapani and sophomore Melyssa Cilmi were all selected to the softball All-SUNYAC team. The selection of the All-SUNYAC team is based on the votes of the conference head coaches and only the season statistics from the conference games are considered.
Motzkin was selected as a utility player as she split time between catcher and outfield. She started all 22 conference games and led the team with a .447 batting average and 34 hits, including nine doubles.. She totaled 16 RBI, 19 runs scored and was 9-9 on stolen base attempts.
DiTrapani started all 22 games at shortstop and registered 42 putouts and 57 assists. She hit .353 with 24 hits.
Cilmi centered the outfield for New Paltz and hit .391 against conference opponents. She totaled 27 hits, 18 runs scored and 11 RBI. She posted a .977 fielding percentage and led the team and conference in outfield assists with seven.
