2007 Men’s Soccer Awards Banquet
NEW PALTZ, NY — The men’s soccer team held their awards banquet on Friday, December 7th and the following awards were presented:
Golden Boot (Top Scorer): Justin Thompson
Goal of the year – Voted on by the players went to Lucas Natel who notched the game winner at Morrisville, with five minutes remaining!
Save of the year – Voted on by the players went to Pat Carlucci who made a save in the 90th minute at Morrisville to preserve the 3-2 final.
First-Year Player Award – To the first-year student-athlete who demonstrated leadership and integrity throughout the season: Nick Lamon
12th Player Award – To the student athlete who unselfishly has contributed to the success of the team in a supporting role. Their play off the bench raised the team’s level of play: Lucas Natel
Most Improved Player Award-. To the student-athlete who showed significant improvement during the season or from last season and has had an impact on the team’s performance: Jason Fancie
Hall of Fame Award – To the senior student-athlete who has demonstrated outstanding play and dedication throughout their entire athletic career at New Paltz: Justin Thomson
Hawk Coaches Award –To the student-athlete whose inspiration and enthusiasm has contributed to the success of the team: Mike Judge
Most Valuable Player Award –To the student-athlete who demonstrates outstanding leadership and superior play throughout the season: Anton Shipman
