Hawks stun #16 RPI
NEW PALTZ, NY — Johnathon Shanks led the Hawks with a complete game on the mound allowing only two runs to the Red Hawks in a 5-2 victory. New Paltz scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth, started by Tyler Terlecky with an RBI single. George Perry continued the scoring with an RBI on a fielder’s choice. The Hawks capped off the inning by scoring two more runs on two RPI errors. The Hawks added to their run total in the bottom of the eighth when John DeKams singled in Jesse Marsh, who had two hits on the day.
New Paltz returns to action at Loren Campbell Field on Saturday at noon for a SUNYAC twinbill against Fredonia.
