Golden Eagles Defeat the Hawks
BROCKPORT, NY — The SUNY New Paltz men’s basketball fell to the Brockport Golden Eagles today, 109-81. Brockport never trailed as they open the game with a 15-4 run only five minutes into the game. The Hawks shot 39.4% in the first half compared to Brockport’s 56.8%, and trailed 55-41 at the half.
In the second half, New Paltz cut the Golden Eagle lead to 11 at 73-62 with 11 minutes remaining, but the Hawks could get no closer as Brockport went on a 23-4 run over the next four minutes to break the game open.
New Paltz was led by Amseshem Foluke-Henderson with 31 points on 11-of-18 from the floor and six rebounds. Tony Cannon finished in with 14 points and John Hauser chipped in with 12 points.
The Hawks return to action on Tuesday when they host the Cortland at 8 p.m.
