Hawks Down Bloodhounds 76-68

NEW YORK, NY — The SUNY New Paltz men’s basketball team travelled to John Jay to take on the Bloodhounds and claimed a 76-68 victory. The Hawks trailed the Bloodhounds 39-35 at the half but rallied back in the seesaw battle to advance to 4-3 on the season. Amseshem Foluke-Henderson and John Hauser led the way for the Hawks. Foluke-Henderson tallied 19 points on 7 of 11 from the field and hauled down six boards while Hauser posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Matt Irwin chipped in with nine points and dished out a team high seven assists. The Hawks shot 43.6% from the field compared to John Jay’s 38%.
New Paltz will return to action on Dec. 27th when they travel to Bethany University in California.
