Kaiser Named to All-NYSWCAA Volleyball Team

NEW PALTZ, NY — SUNY New Paltz junior outside hitter Andrea Kaiser (Blue Point, NY) has been named to the New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association (NYSWCAA) Volleyball All-State Team.

Kaiser was an honorable mention selection after leading the Hawks to their highest win total in five years. SUNY New Paltz is currently 27-9 and ranked seventh in latest NYSWCAA poll.

This fall, Kaiser has averaged a team-best 3.2 kills per game along with 2.8 digs per game and a .254 hitting percentage.

The Hawks, who were 7-3 in the Eastern Division of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) and finished in a tie for second place with Oneonta, will travel to Brockport for this weekend’s league tournament. The Hawks will play Geneseo on Friday (Nov. 5) at 3:00 p.m. in the opening round of the tournament.

The winner of Friday’s opening round match will advance to the semifinals to play Brockport on Saturday (Nov. 6) at 11:00 a.m. The conference championship match is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. that same day with the winner earning an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Championship.
