SUNY New Paltz Athletic Department Seeks Nominations for 2005 Hall of Fame Class
NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz Department of Athletics is seeking nominations for the Hall of Fame class of 2005. Each year, the Department of Athletics wishes to recognize and honor those individuals who have been associated with the University and the Department, and whose achievements both at SUNY New Paltz and in the ensuing years exemplify the ideals of success and good citizenship as characterized by the Department. A nominee shall have been: a full-time student at New Paltz for at least two (2) years, been associated with at least one varsity sport for at least two (2) years, not been associated with the University for a minimum of five (5) years, and shown athletic involvement, honors, awards, team contributions and/or leadership as evidenced by post season honors, such as All-American, All-State, All-Conference, individual championships and record setting performances. A nominee may have also been: a SUNY New Paltz administrator, coach or trainer for at least five (5) years, not been associated with the college through retirement or resignation for at least two (2) years, and demonstrated great character, leadership and an unwavering commitment to the development of New Paltz student-athletes. In addition, those individuals who have supported the Department of Athletics through meritorious service are also eligible. A nominee shall have had had a unique identification with New Paltz athletics through moral and/or financial support and exhibited a dedication and loyalty to the department of athletics.
