Meldrim, Glover Lead Geneseo Past New Paltz in Women’s Lacrosse

KINGSTON, NY — Betsy Meldrim (Cortland, NY) and Amy Glover (Chittenango, NY) each scored three goals apiece to lead the visiting Geneseo Knights to a 21-2 victory over New Paltz in women’s lacrosse at Dietz Stadium in Kingston, NY.

The Hawks took a lead 1-0 on Megan Porter’s (Massapequa, NY) goal 2:46 in to the game but the Knights dominated the rest of the half outshooting the Hawks 18-2. The Knights took a 12-2 lead into halftime and tacked on nine more unanswered goals in the second half to move to 3-2 on the season and 2-0 in the SUNYAC.

Susan Shepard (Pittsford, NY), Liz Ryan (King’s Park, NY), Abby CasaSanta (Rochester Hills, MI), Melody Kuzniar (Rome, NY), and Amy Spaziani (Horseheads, NY) each contributed two goals apiece in the win.
