Hamill Leads Kean Past New Paltz

UNION, NJ – — Senior defender Kelly Hamill (Manasquan, NJ) scored four goals and freshman attacker Tina Broomfield (Ewing, NJ) added three more to lead Kean past New Paltz 8-2 this afternoon.

Leading 2-0 late in the first half, Hamill and Broomfield combined for three goals in the final 1:55 to put the Cougars (6-4) ahead 5-0 at the break.

Sophomore attack Jillian Sheppard (Stony Brook, NY) put the Hawks on the board nine minutes into the second half to trim the Kean advantage to 6-1.

Junior attack Megan Porter (Massapequa, NY) added a late goal for New Paltz who will play at Manhattanville tomorrow (Apr. 16) at 4 p.m.
