Four Track Athletes Win Conference Championships

KINGSTON, NY – — The SUNY New Paltz Track & Field program took home four conference titles at this afternoon’s SUNYAC Track & Field Championship this afternoon at Dietz Stadium. Freshman Musu Jackson-Buckner (Buffalo, NY) claimed a SUNYAC Championship in the 200 meters with a time of 26.01. Freshman Jennifer Hutchinson (Queensbury, NY) won a conference title in the pole vault with a mark of 2.65 meters.

Two defending champions from New Paltz came up short in their attempt to repeat. Senior Andrea Drayss finished second in the shot put with a mark of 11.84 meters. Junior Natasha Dudar (New Paltz, NY) finished eighth in the triple jump with a mark 9.44 meters.

The women’s squad finished with 53 points and placed sixth in the meet.

For the men’s squad, freshman Andrew Hunsinger (Queensbury, NY) was crowned the conference champion in the 100 meters with time of 11.30. He also took second in the 200 meter event with a mark of 22.89. Senior Bryan Lundy (Stormville, NY) won the javelin with a throw of 52.91.

The New Paltz men finished in a tie with Oswego for sixth place with a total of 41 points. SUNY New Paltz Men’s and Women’s Results
