Qualifiers Compete at ECAC Indoor Championships
MEDFORD, MA — The SUNY New Paltz qualifiers took part in the 2003 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Tufts University in Medford, MA this weekend.
Musu Jackson-Buckner (Buffalo, NY) highlighted the event for the Hawks finishing in eighth place in the women’s 200-meter dash with a time of 26.44 seconds.
Also for the women, Natasha Dudar (New Paltz, NY) was 18th in the long jump with a leap of 4.66 meters, Kate Choromanski (Shelton, CT) was 25th in the women’s 1000 meters (3:13.55) and Jenny Hutchinson (Queensbury, NY) was 30th in the pole vault clearing 2.80 meters.
Wheaton College won the women’s ECAC Championship followed by Colby and The College of New Jersey.
For the men, Phil Goodwin (Rochester, NY) was 13th in the men’s 1500 meters finishing with a time of 4:04.63 and Josh Moore (Woodburne, NY) was 14th in the shot put with a throw of 14.42 meters.
The College of New Jersey took home the men’s championship while RPI was second and St. Lawrence was third.
