Hawks Improve to 3-1 with Win at CCNY

NEW YORK, NY – — The SUNY New Paltz women’s basketball team raised its record to 3-1 with a 59-48 road-win over City College of New York this evening.

The Hawks used a balanced attack led by junior forward Lindsay Dakin (East Rockaway, NY) who came off the bench to score 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor and 2-of-2 from three-point range.

The Hawks limited CCNY to five first half field goals and 17 percent shooting to take a 29-19 lead at the intermission.

Senior forward Silver Williams (Newburgh, NY)added 11 points and eight rebounds and sophomore guard Kim Weigel (Whitestone, NY) had 10 points and 11 rebounds to put the Hawks one win away from equaling their win total from last year.

CCNY, who shot just 22 percent for the game, was led by Kim Neos who had a game-high 15 points.
