Skidmore Sinks Women’s Basketball
NEW PALTZ — The visiting Thoroughbreds of Skidmore came into town Tuesday night to defeat the Hawks 59-47. The loss gives New Paltz a season record of 2-6.
The Hawks trailed by just a point at the half 29-28 but Skidmore pulled away in the second thanks to the scoring of Amy Gilchrist (14), Andrea Paulson (14) and the three-point shooting of Michal Pinkham (3 of 4). For the Hawks, sophomore Maura McShane (East Rockaway, NY) had a game-high 16 points.
New Paltz returns to action on January 8th when they host the Golden Eagles of Brockport.
