Men’s Tennis Team Loses First Road Match
KINGS POINT — The first and second doubles teams provided SUNY New Paltz’s lone wins on Saturday, as the Hawks lost their first road match of the season, 7-2, at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
Ed Paulinski and Adam Redding beat Robert Harris and Mark Shanks, 8-3, at first doubles, while the freshman tandem of Bradley Breakstone and Bobby Calise dominated Jeff Jaskot and Daniel Tripp, 8-1.
In singles action, Paulinski (first singles) and Calise (fifth singles) both extended their opponents to three sets before falling just short.
New Paltz will host Stevens Tech at 1 p.m. on April 1.
