Bears Edge Hawk Women In Soccer
POTSDAM — SUNY New Paltz dropped to an early 0-2 record in SUNYAC women’s soccer with its second consecutive road loss, 2-1, at SUNY Potsdam on Saturday afternoon.
April Miller scored 11:56 into the contest, and Erin Blandon added the game winner nearly five minutes later for the (1-4 overall, 1-1 SUNYAC) Bears. Hawk sophomore Kathryn Bart scored 24:25 into the second half to narrow the gap, but New Paltz (1-3 overall, 0-2 SUNYAC) was unable to get the equalizer.
New Paltz will try to get back on the winning track on Wednesday when it hosts local rival Vassar for a 4 p.m. match.
