About Us
Welcome to the SUNY New Paltz Employee Assistance Program. We welcome all employees of the State of New York (CSEA, PEF, UUP, Council 82, NYSCOPBA, GSEU), Research Foundation, Management/Confidential and FSA. We also serve family members and retirees. If you are not a member of any of the groups above, please call coordinator for more information.
Our mission is to provide a comprehensive worksite-based program to assist faculty and staff in the prevention, early intervention and resolution of problems that may impact job performance. These include but are not limited to: emotional, family, work stress, legal, financial, grief, change, marital/relationship, alcohol/drug or domestic violence.
The goals of SUNY New Paltz EAP are:
To improve the health and well-being of the faculty and staff.
To reduce the impact of personal and job-related problems on employee productivity.
To communicate that SUNY New Paltz cares about its employees.
To support SUNY New Paltz policies for maintaining a safe workplace.
To maintain good relations with labor and management.
CONFIDENTIALITY IS PARAMOUNT
We are a voluntary program designed to offer a highly professional, confidential source of help for people with personal problems or concerns. The only exceptions to confidentiality are when information is required by law or executive order to be disclosed, when a person is likely to harm him/herself or others, or when there is reasonable suspicion of child abuse.
We hope you find the information on our website helpful. We look forward to serving the campus community.
