When I interviewed for my job here at the Milano School of International Affairs, Management and Urban Policy, I said that my time spent during the SUNY Global Engagement Program will always be one of the most valuable experiences I had during my undergraduate career.
“If I had not been a part of the SUNY Global Engagements Program, I would not have made the valuable connections I made through my internship with the program.”
If I had not been a part of the SUNY Global Engagements Program, I would not have made the valuable connections I made through my internship with the program. Connections which would later lead me to have the opportunity to speak at the United Nations advocating for nuclear disarmament.
I often find myself reflecting back to the days I spent in the SUNY Global Center in New York City, engaged in discussion with my classmates ranging from women’s rights to international security. These discussions with my fellow curious, passionate classmates regularly granted me new perspectives on issues that only deepened my understanding of global affairs.
The SUNY Global Engagement Program was truly the experience that not only launched my professional career after graduation, but enhanced all professional experiences I’ve had since. Thanks to the program I find myself walking into work every day feeling confident and prepared for whatever is thrown my way.
