SUNY New Paltz’s Alternative Spring Break tradition is back, giving students an opportunity to join a team of peers for a week-long, immersive service experience from March 13-17, 2023.
Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is an opportunity for students to challenge themselves, serve others, and gain unique perspectives on cultural, political, and social issues. ASB builds on the University’s proud tradition of helping students build leadership skills, engage in the community, and develop critical thinking skills based on cultural experiences. It also looks great on your résumé!

The Selection Committee will get in touch with more info about the application and interview process. To maintain an effective and close-knit group, Alternative Spring Break 2023 will accept a maximum of 12 participants. Applicants should expect a program including physical work, self-reflection and group discussion activities, and fun social events.
