The Sojourner Truth Library at SUNY New Paltz announces forgiveness of all late fines upon receipt of overdue Library materials, effective immediately.
The Library is adjusting its approach to late fines as a best practice for supporting a campus community that depends on these materials in service of an institutional mission to make research and learning accessible to all.
This policy does not include late fines for external materials, like interlibrary loans, borrowed through the Sojourner Truth Library. Patrons who return these kinds of materials late may still accrue fines.
Library faculty and staff ask patrons to support the continuation of this new policy and support one another’s access to these resources by please returning materials on time. Thank you!
