Professor Ilgu Ozler receives Fulbright award to teach and research in Spain

Professor Ilgu Ozler of the Department of Political Science & International Relations has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award for a spring 2022 teaching opportunity at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in Spain.

Ozler is teaching courses on “Issues in International Politics Today” and “The United States of America as a Global Power.”

The Fulbright experience is also supporting Ozler’s research on the role of civil society organizations as they relate to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are used at SUNY New Paltz and at organizations around the world as a framework for planning, management and community building.
