Reminder: Alternate side parking is in effect on many Village of New Paltz streets

The Village of New Paltz reminds residents that Alternate Side Parking is in effect on many streets and roads.

This policy is important for keeping roadways clear for emergency vehicles, and the Village will issue tickets to violators.

Those who park on streets where this policy is in effect must move their vehicles from one side to the other each day, following the signage that is posted.

The Village of New Paltz statute on parking lists the following streets and roads where this policy is in effect:

Center Street
Elting Avenue, between Mohonk and Southside Avenues
Innis Avenue
Lincoln Place
Orchard Lane
Prospect Street, between Main and John Street
Ridge Road
South Oakwood Terrace, between Plattekill Avenue and a point 170 feet southerly of its intersection with Main Street
West Center Street

If you park on any of these Village of New Paltz streets, be sure to check road signs to make sure you are parked on the correct side!
