The SUNY New Paltz Center for Student Engagement is moving all January Orientation activities online as a measure to protect our new students and our staff at a moment when COVID-19 cases are on the rise in our region.
With this shift, new students will participate in one of the virtual Orientation sessions scheduled as follows:
- Wednesday, Jan. 12, 9 – 11:15 a.m.
- Friday, Jan. 14, 9 – 11:15 a.m.
- Wednesday, Jan. 19, 9 – 11:15 a.m.
Following these sessions, students will be able to meet virtually with their academic advisor to finalize their schedule and register for spring 2022 classes.
New students who plan to participate in January 2022 Orientation should check their New Paltz email for a more detailed outline of the schedule and the WebEx link needed to attend.
Please also note that all new students must submit proof of vaccination or be approved for a religious or medical exemption before Orientation, per SUNY-wide policy. Students will not be able to register for in-person classes until they have met the terms of the vaccination requirement.
The originally announced snow date of Tuesday, Jan. 18, has been cancelled.
