It is with great sadness that we share news of the death of Paul Ostrander, an undergraduate student from Gardiner, New York.
The College received notification today that Paul, 32, died in his home on Oct. 16.
Paul held an associate degree from SUNY Ulster. He joined the SUNY New Paltz community as a transfer student for the fall 2021 term, pursuing a degree in music.
Mid-Hudson News reports that in addition to performing and giving music lessons, Paul also worked as a journalist and photographer.
We extend our deepest sympathy to Paul’s family and friends and to the students, faculty and staff who knew him.
