Fall 2021 COVID-19 testing schedule for vaccinated students who live off campus

SUNY New Paltz will require all vaccinated students, faculty and staff with a campus presence to be tested for COVID-19 every five weeks, beginning Sept. 7.

The policy for unvaccinated students, faculty and staff remains the same: They must test once a week, every week they are on campus.

 

For vaccinated students who live off campus, the fall 2021 testing schedule is assigned by major as follows:

Sept 5 – 11: All Fine & Performing Arts majors, English, History, Sociology (Test once this week)

Sept 12 – 18: All Science & Engineering majors, Psychology, Psychological Science, Counseling, Disaster Mental Health, Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Sept 19 – 25: All Education majors, Communication Disorders, Communication Studies

Sept 26 – Oct. 2: Anthropology, Asian Studies, Black Studies, Digital Media & Journalism, Economics, Geography, Languages, Literatures & Cultures, Latin American & Caribbean Studies, Philosophy, Political Science & International Relations, Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies, Contract majors

Oct 3 – 9:  All Business majors, Undeclared, Non-Matriculated, Certification programs

Oct 10 – 16: All Fine & Performing Arts majors, English, History, Sociology

Oct 17 – 23: All Science & Engineering majors, Psychology, Psychological Science, Counseling, Disaster Mental Health, Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Oct. 24 – 30: All Education majors, Communication Disorders, Communication Studies

Please note: Students who have more than one major should pick one major and test consistently with that group throughout the fall 2021 semester.
