The Department of Music is kicking off its spring concert season with a virtual performance by The Professors on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 7 p.m. on the Listen Forward YouTube channel.
The show promises an evening of new and original jazz compositions, performed by musicians who have been teaching, playing and improvising together for more than 30 years.

The Professors are educators, composers and performers with interest in jazz and world music, improvisation and audio engineering. Always excited to share their collaborative spirit and love of jazz, the group will take you behind the scenes at Martucci’s recording studio, where the video and audio tracks for this album were recorded and mastered during the fall. The sessions were joyful expressions of collaborative and creative energy during the challenges of COVID-19.
